SNERDC is being involved in the major scientific research projects and the major construction projects of national infrastructure. Its ITER project was approved and supported by the national major fundamental research program, opening up an important basic applied research direction. SNERDC is supported by a lot of funding from national science foundation of China, " 863" , "973 " programs of ministry of science, doctoral fund of ministry of education, etc., with a total research funding over twenty million yuan. Fruitful research achievements have been obtained in recent years, including more than 82 national invention patent applications of which 58 have been approved and over 200 papers have been published on the domestic key journals and international peer-reviewed journals of which 150 are SCI and EI articles.
