Dr. Wang is a professor inSouthwestJiaotongUniversity. He was appointed as acting director of Superconductivity andNewEnergyR&DCenterin 2012. From 2009 to 2011, he was associate director of equipment department in Rail transit National Laboratory. From 2005 to 2009 he was director of dean’s Office at E’mei compus,SouthwestJiaotongUniversity, (E’mei Shan City, 614202,Sichuan,China). Before 2005, he was the instructor of several courses and his research interest was the propagation properties of optical beams. He won the excellent doctoral dissertation ofSouthwestJiaotongUniversityfor his doctoral dissertation, “A study on complex-valued beams characterization, propagation and beam quality”, in 2002. He won third prize of Science and Technology Progress Award by Ministry of Education in 1999. He has published more than 50 papers such as Optics Communications, Optical and Quantum Electronics, Journal of Modern Optics, Optics and Laser Technology, Optics Letters, Applied Optics, Acta Physica Sinica, and Chinese Journal of Lasers, more than 30 of which were indexed by SCI.
